About Me

I began my journey into the world of technology back when I was 6 years old and my parent’s bought me my first computer, a Commodore 64. I loved it from the very beginning, from learning basic commands to poking around the BASIC code, I was hooked on computers from an early age. I still remember connecting to a BBS on a 1200 baud modem. From there, I knew that I wanted to do something, anything, involving technology for the rest of my life.

Fast forward to today. I’ve worked in the IT field for the past 15 years with a cable company in South Dakota. I started off working in tech support for our Internet service, moved up into our NOC, and have been in network engineering for the past 7 years. I currently have my Cisco CCNA and CCNP R&S certifications.

I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do with my career, it’s something that is ever evolving. I’m hoping to use this site to help me in my journey.

  1. Hey Dustin, just listened to the Packet Pushers podcast that you were on. Just wanted to touch base with you. I’m down in Vermillion, South Dakota and always looking to connect with other Network Engineers in the area.

Send me an email if you don’t mind exchanging info.
